Beginning in 1911, the Engineer’s Club of Kansas City has continuously pursued a mission to advance the engineering profession in the Kansas City area. ECKC provides a vehicle to support and inspire students in their pursuit to become engineers. The importance of this mission is evidenced by over 1,200 companies and individuals participating annually to raise ECKC scholarship funds. We welcome all those that support the engineering profession.
Our Student Assistance Fund supports undergraduate students from the KC metro area that are pursuing an ABET accredited engineering degree. The two premier fundraising events are Shrimp Bingo (February 1, 2019 at the Overland Park Convention Center) and our Golf Tournament in early May 2019. This past year, we raised approximately $54,000 during these two events, and distributed $95,800 in scholarships to 91 students.
The Club also holds a monthly luncheon for networking, fellowship and comradery. The luncheon offers 0.5 PDH for presentations on a variety of topics of interest to the engineering community. Please check our website for updates or if you would like to be added to our email list, please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Specifics of our monthly luncheon are below.
When: 1st Monday of every month, September through May (unless Holiday conflicts require moving to the 2nd Monday)
Where: Hereford House, 5001 Town Center Drive, Leawood, KS – (March 4th will be at Lidia’s in the Freight House)
RSVP: John Warren, email@example.com
Please consider getting involved in ECKC. Opportunities include fundraising events, monthly luncheons, mentoring events, committee activities, or through direct donations to the scholarship fund.
